definitely a very good thing to learn. i think i have begun to do this also. actually i was going to write a post on this... or something similar to this.
yea someone a while ago got the - if you assume, you make an ass out of you and me- stuck in my head. i always think of that when the word assume comes up.

yea, heard that one before too. I think that assuming just makes the person assuming look stupid. So maybe the word should be assme.
